| Abstract | Some students are best served by online classes. It would be possible to make all lab procedures virtual, but an experience with the eyes does not teach the same thing as one with the hands. Some challenges to creating a lab to be done at home are expense of equipment and safety. A shippable kit including balance, pH meter, and pressure sensor can cost about $50. Vinegar and baking soda can be used to safely do the reactions needed to teach the required concepts and procedures. The experiments have been tested in a kitchen. |
