Abstract | Multinuclear copper complexes have been of much interest in various fields of research, not the least of which is magnetism. Our group has extensively worked with multinuclear complexes based on pyrazolato ligands. We have now synthesized a series of novel open-cage, Pac-Man-like complexes consisting of two trinuclear copper planes in a trigonal prismatic arrangement held together by two pyrazolato ligands and a µ3-choride ion. In this poster, we will discuss the interesting structural and magnetic properties that these compounds exhibit. |
